THE GEMSTONE

Diamonds are perhaps nature’s most precious and sought-after creation. Formed billions of years ago, 100 metres beneath the Earth’s surface under high temperature and high pressure conditions, the carbon atoms of diamond are bonded together to create an extremely hard, crystal structure which disperses the light beautifully. 

As such diamonds have been used since ancient times for jewellery decoration but are equally as useful today for industrial applications.

Diamond is the April birthstone but also the gemstone gifted to mark 60th and 75th Wedding Anniversaries.
